Your Dog Will Love You More Than Yourself

“There is no animal more faithful than the dog”. “The dog is man’s best friend”. “Dogs are better than most people.” Over the course of your life you have surely heard some of these phrases several times and, as you may have guessed, they are all true. A dog’s fidelity has no limits: it  is in fact one of the few living beings who will love you more than you love yourself.

The “faithful” attribute is the one that describes dogs par excellence; but are these faithful or loyal? What is the difference between these two adjectives? Loyalty does not necessarily imply emotions or feelings, and it can be loyalty forced by a sense of obligation.

Also, you don’t have to be living to show fidelity. For example, the sun is faithful. It rises and falls every day, every day of the year at its time, faithfully carrying out its work.

What about loyalty? This quality requires emotions and feelings. Loyalty can be defined as “staying with someone until the established goal is achieved”. So is loyalty; loyalty not only prompts your dog to stay with you, through thick and thin, but also to love you more than you can imagine.

Who remembers Hachicko? Do you remember how many days he spent waiting for his master in rain, wind and bad weather? It is not easy to find one person who does the same for another.

The ways your dog shows love to you

• It collapses at your feet after eating. What is the greatest interest of dogs? Eat naturally! Sometimes you can’t even get close to a dog’s bowl when he devours his food and, moreover, your dog will surely cry when he’s hungry too. So, if immediately after eating, which is the dog’s first interest, he collapses at your feet, it means that you come immediately after the food!
• He wants to sleep with you. We all know that dogs are very sociable animals and always feel the need to be close to others like them or to human beings: but not at all. They know how to choose carefully who to stand next to: their best friend of course. So, if your pet happens to jump on you during the night to sleep with you, it is because he considers you as such.

• He goes crazy when he sees you. Some dogs jump and wag their tails when they see anyone walk through the door, albeit of course with varying intensity. However, if your dog only does it with you, it is another sign that your dog loves you unconditionally.
• It gets infected by your yawns.  Have you ever caught your dog yawning right after you? This indicates that the dog has a special bond with you, and that he will love you forever.

Love without criticism

Unfortunately, there are many people who claim that animals have neither feelings nor emotions. Obviously we don’t all agree with them and you, after reading this article, still have some doubts? Your dog will love you for the rest of his life, showing you infinite fidelity day after day. Yes, your dog would go so far as to give his life to save you.  How many people do you know who are willing to do so?

Some think that dogs have no feelings or emotions. It is their point of view. But no matter what people say: it is wonderful to feel the unconditional love of a living being!

Getting home and finding someone who goes crazy seeing you, who warms your feet in winter after eating, someone to cuddle with in bed. Who does not have a dog, will never understand the deep bond that these animals establish with man. Enjoy the company of your dog  and, above all, give him in return the same affection he gives you every day: never abandon him.
