Muki: The Cat Who Used All His 7 Lives

Muki: the cat who used all his 7 lives

Today we tell you the story of Muki, a cat who survived complicated situations, mostly caused by the distraction of its owners. Some might even argue that this kitten has already spent most of its 7 lives. What is certain is that this kitten would have spared himself many misfortunes if he had had responsible owners.

Find out the story of Muki, the survivor

Muki’s story takes place in Argentina, although the exact place of origin is unknown. And we believe we know why.

The baby is the fourth unborn of a litter of which only two survived. The cat Michu, at an advanced age, had given birth to three kittens, helped by her mistress.

The next day, she discovered that two of the cubs had died, but a fourth smaller had been born during the night.

At 5 months Muki was abandoned in the countryside

The first five months of Muki’s life passed in relative tranquility until, by a human whim, the animal was abandoned in the open countryside with his mother and little brother. It seems that the sons of the woman did not want to know about keeping cats in the house.

The decision to get rid of the felines soon caused tragic consequences for the animals. Michu and Muki’s little brother were attacked by stray dogs and killed.

Muki survived and some time later he was rescued by Ines, the daughter of Michu’s owner, who went to look for him, perhaps regretting the bad deeds of the family.

Thieves stole the owner’s car with Muki inside

Everything seemed to be back to “normal” for the cat. Unfortunately, however, one day when he was in the owner’s car for a trip, the vehicle was stolen with the cat inside.

Although the car reappeared a few days later a few kilometers away, there was no trace of Muki.

By now everyone had given him up for missing, the cat reappeared at the owners’ house. Almost two months had passed and he was unrecognizable: thin, dirty and with obvious signs of aggression from other felines.

Muri is taken to a shelter for fear that he suffers from toxoplasmosis

Just five months after Muki’s return, Ines became pregnant and her husband decided to chase the cat away for fear of toxoplasmosis. Despite the woman’s explanations and prayers – the subject of dominant machismo seems to be linked to this story – Muki was taken to an animal shelter.

And even if at least this time the kitten had not been abandoned on the street, he found himself facing another situation of abandonment and going to live with 140 other animals.

A year later, he was adopted by a woman who took him home with her, where 25 other cats lived.

At the time, the woman’s neighbors – who certainly had mental problems – reported her for bad smells and mistreatment. So Muki ended up touring several temporary houses and was finally taken back to another shelter.

Muki, back home again

Meanwhile, Ines, after the birth of her son, convinced her husband that there were no risks and that the cat could return home.

Although it was not easy to trace the place where the animal was, their persistence has paid off. Finally, after two years, she was able to reunite with her cat.

For now we can say that Muki is calm and happy in his home. Let’s hope we don’t have to write another article regarding his new misadventures.
