According to the breeders of this breed, “the Bullmastiff is one of the best and most balanced dogs that exist”. In fact, they are very tolerant and there is no need to worry if they are left alone with small children. It only becomes aggressive towards another male dog if it attempts to invade its territory.
The Bullmastiff is an elegant, refined and obedient dog . Moreover, he obeys all people living in the house in the same way, because he needs love and affection in order not to feel neglected. It is a dog that is dedicated to the family and creates very strong bonds with it. Similarly, although it is preferable for him to live in a large house with a garden, he can easily adapt to apartment life, but he needs to go out daily to get enough physical activity. It is essential that physical activity is very controlled during the critical phase of growth (up to 16 months in males and up to 10 months in females) to avoid muscle and skeletal problems in adults. For the same reason, it is preferable to avoid overweight in the puppy.
It is a large breed dog with a good character and does not need special care. Of course, you have to take him to the vet at least twice a year, brush him 3 times a week, bathe him at least once every two weeks, with a neutral shampoo, and feed him adequately.
