Children And Dogs, The Best Combination

Children and dogs, the best combination

Those who have children should know that adopting an animal will do much good for their development. The benefits are innumerable. In this article we will tell you why children and dogs are the best combination.

Children and dogs: benefits of all kinds

There is a difference between children who live with an animal and those who have not even had one. The former are more sociable, more altruistic, love to play with others and express their feelings more.

Children and dogs are an inseparable duo right from the start. Whether the animal is the first to arrive, or whether it arrives later. The benefits they bring are many at any age, but in childhood they have effects that will last forever.

Playing with your dog in the park contributes to the educational and social development of children, due to the fact that they are forced to take on responsibilities. It also  increases their self-esteem and improves social integration.  They learn to respect other human beings and to respect the needs of all members of their family.

Why should children have an animal?

Only those who have lived with a dog or cat at an early age know what it means to have a faithful companion. Together with an animal, the fun will never be lacking. Here is a list of the benefits in the relationship between children and dogs.

1. Reduction of respiratory diseases

Children who grow up with dogs (especially if the animal has already lived in the house before their birth) are less likely to develop asthma or common allergies. The fur and microbes of the animal strengthen the immune system of the little ones,  unlike what is believed.

2. They learn to be responsible

Taking care of an animal is not easy, and if the child is taught to take care of its basic needs (feed it, take it for a walk, play with it), it will know what it means to take responsibility. This can also  increase the self-esteem of those children who are particularly shy or with difficulty in obeying.

3. Stress and anxiety lessen

Children with attention problems or hyperactive can find their tranquility together with animals. They are also recommended for those with autism problems or with certain diseases related to the nervous system. A dog brings peace to a home, even when it is a puppy.

4. Interpersonal relationships improve

People who had a dog during their childhood have less difficulty in socializing  during the various stages of their life (not just at school). The relationship lived with their pet from an early age, for example, will allow them to dialogue with people of their own age and not.

5. They will get better results in studies

For example, a child who reads a story to his furry friend, or one who does his math homework in front of him, will have less trouble doing it than in front of his parents, teachers or friends. The animal will not interrupt him, will not laugh at him when he makes a mistake, and will not pressure him to become the best.

6. Children are happier

Maybe it will be because they always have a friend willing to play with them, or because animals stabilize our blood pressure, but the sure thing is that  children who live with a dog are happier than those who don’t have one.

7. A great emotional bond is created

If we live with a dog, we also learn to forge even stronger bonds with all family members. Especially with regards to the division of daily tasks, sharing objects, or paying attention to the needs of others.

8. Loneliness disappears

In many cases, children have no brothers or sisters during the early stages of their life. A dog does not replace a human brother. However, avoid that the child feels lonely  and has contact only with adults.
