6 Signs That The Cat Loves You

6 signs that your cat loves you

Deciphering the behavior of cats is not easy.  Unlike dogs, which show their affection clearly, felines communicate their feelings in a less explicit form. This does not mean that the cat does not want to express affection and loyalty, but that it does it in another way and sometimes we are unable to recognize it. If you want to find out how much the cat cares about you, take a look at the signs that the cat cares about you and loves you.

Purr and knead

Purring is the noise through which cats express the affection they feel towards their owner.  The amplitude of the sound wave of the purrs ensures that they are clearly audible. According to some research, while the cat is purring, the heartbeat slows down and this causes the animal to a state of relaxation.

Through purring, cats express cheerfulness and communicate that they are happy and that they feel safe with their owner.

In general, you will surely have noticed that the cat produces these sounds when it curls up on you or when you place a hand on its head. It is a moment of relaxation and well-being.

The purr is usually accompanied by a gesture reminiscent of the classic movement that occurs when kneading bread or pasta. The cat pushes and pulls its paws alternately just as if it were massing.

You may also have noticed that when felines perform this gesture, they close their eyes slightly and show their nails. This last movement absolutely does not want to demonstrate aggression, on the contrary, it expresses all the affection they feel for you. In fact, the movement of the legs is so delicate that the nails are not even felt.

There has been much discussion about the origin of this characteristic movement of cats, well it dates back to the early days of kittens. When they are nursed by their mother, the little ones instinctively move their legs to put pressure on the breasts and thus facilitate the flow of milk. Over time, they reproduce this good memory whenever they feel happy.

Gives “head” and licks

If someone heads you to show their affection, you will surely feel surprised or attacked. In cats, on the other hand, the headboard is a sign of affection. By doing so, in fact, they deposit the pheromones of the head on you, thus showing you all their confidence and security.

Surely the heads are accompanied by licks or some clamps. If so, be happy, the cat is telling you that you are already in their circle of friends.

Contracted tail

A cat’s tail says a lot.  When it swells it is a sign of fear, if it contracts it means that it is happy. It is a movement they usually make when they are next to their masters.

Belly up

Have you noticed your cat rolling on the floor? When they do, they are demanding attention. Felines only discover the belly if they trust you, so you must be flattered, because your cat is telling you that he feels loved and protected.

The nap

As is well known, cats sleep most of the day and to do so they look for a cozy place. It is not strange then, that to take a nap or when it is time to sleep, they want to come in their arms and that they have chosen you as a safe place, it is a real compliment.

A truly special gift

And to conclude, we would like to talk about that moment when a cat points to a bird, a rodent or an insect. It dilates the pupils, makes noises and assumes the characteristic attack position. Instinct will lead him to hunt his prey and play with it until he kills it. He will then take it to his master, to share this trophy with him. Do not be surprised if you see a dead bird or insect on your bed or on your favorite armchair, your feline gave it to you out of generosity and as a sign of friendship.
