Why are some animals so loud?

In general, it is thought that the noisiest and most talkative animals are dogs, but in reality there is nothing more wrong: cats are also very talkative animals, especially those that belong to the Siamese breed. But why do animals talk so much? First of all it should be remembered that dogs are related to wolves and wolves howl, while cats are related to big wild cats. In either case, domestication has caused the sound of these wild voices to transform into an eternal, and sometimes sweet, vocalization: the barking and the meowing.

But then, when they make these sounds, are the animals talking to each other? In the case of cats, a study revealed that it is not very common for these animals to respond to the meows of their peers. In general, they reserve their vocal repertoire to speak with their masters.

How to handle a particularly chatty dog ​​or cat

As with dogs, cats can also be trained to sit quietly. To achieve this you will have to caress him and use some of his favorite treats (it can be a snack especially for cats or stewed food): you will see that it will not be difficult. And if your cat starts meowing again, ignore it and pretend nothing has happened. Afterwards, when your cat is silent again, make sure it doesn’t start meowing again.
