Hachiko was a happy dog ​​who lived with his family. Everyone loved him, but he showed a particular fondness for his master, Professor Hidesaburo Ueno. Since he was a puppy he lived to receive his affection, his cuddles, his hugs and loved spending time with him, playing or simply walking.

Every day he accompanied him to the train station, where the professor took the line that took him to the office. For years, every day, Hachiko accompanied him, always going to pick him up at the same time.

One day, unfortunately, something terrible and unexpected happened. As always, beside the tracks, Hachiko waited for the master but, for the first time, she did not see him. A heart attack ended the life of the professor and his dog, alone in the station, could not understand why his master did not appear.

Hachiko, from that day, continued to return to the station every day, hoping to see him again. He waited there day and night, and although his family wanted to take him home, the dog refused. For 10 years he found himself in the same place, standing, waiting for his master. Commuters, neighborhood neighbors, and other passersby gave him food and drinks and even something to cover himself with. An example of absolute fidelity.

His story shocked the locals so much that they decided to dedicate a statue to the animal when it passed away. In front of the same Shibuya station in Tokyo, where he spent the last years of his life.

• Husky. This dog sat in a hospital waiting room waiting for its owner at a hospital in Monterrey, Mexico. For days he remained in the room, alone, without food or water. Although its owner had been transferred to another hospital, no one seems to have informed the animal and it remained there waiting for its owner to go looking for it.
• Mestizo. Another dog remained for 14 days in front of a hospital door, waiting for its owner who, unfortunately, died during an operation. The animal let himself die there, on the place where he saw his beloved friend, for the last time.
• Captain. This puppy lived on its owner’s grave for 10 years. Although he was 16 and ill, he never left his post, hoping to see his best friend again.
